There may be some markings on the inside of the case that will help determine if it is from the same time period as the movement which if I am reading the serial number correctly as 3071947, dates it to 1914. ![]() It looks to be in very good condition and the dial is very nice. Hampden Dueber 12 size, Hampden 6 size and the 000 size pocket watch models: Similar to the established and respected Hampden pocket watch models tallied above, many of their smaller sized timepieces shared some these very monikers yet naturally, were in a smaller size. I would bow to the advice of the far more experienced people here. Especially if you're going to be keeping it in use. If not, it would need servicing to make it run as it should. How does it run like that? you may be able to adjust it back more towards the center. I agree that the regulator looks way off. McKinley was one of Hampden's better movements but not the best and did at one time qualify for railroad service. Since you said you got the movement and case separately, isn't it also possible that the marks came from taking out the movement and putting it back? It's also missing a case screw completely as I'm sure you know.
